Work Sample: FOCUS

Phillips Plastics Corporation was kind enough to ask me to design their November issue of FOCUS, their monthly employee news magazine. I love working on these projects because they're very fast-paced, in-depth and require a lot of thought. The company knew that the issue was going to be called "Next," so as to talk about things that were coming up in the future of the business.

Below are a few sample layouts of the piece I worked on. There were 16 pages to design in all, but I've chosen a few of my favorites. Click the image for a larger view.

Hi Angela

I saw your new sign as I was getting my haircut at A la Mode the other day....so I checked you out!! Very cool website and blog. I teach Marketing in Woodbury and may use it as a resource. I noticed your work with the focus magazine...what software did you use to create it. Thanks

Hi Ms. O,

Thanks for checking out my blog/website and for taking the time to write me!

In answer to your question, I used Adobe InDesign to create the layout for the magazine along with Photoshop as my image editing software.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any further questions! Have a happy holiday!

Angela,
After being a Physical Therapist for 13 years I decided I needed a change of pace. I am now in my final year at the Art Institute in the graphic design program. I am looking for a graphic designer out in "the real world" to answer a couple of questions for an informational interview for one of my classes. If this sounds like something you would be interested, please let me know.
Thanks!!
